The role requires translating design concepts into technically sound jackets, with strong emphasis on jacket engineering, fit, materials and cost engineering.

The ideal candidate will own the development of women’s technical outerwear categories, produce detailed tech packs, and collaborate with production teams and overseas factories to optimize costs

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Women’s Outerwear design experience.
• Expertise in jacket engineering and construction.
• Strong knowledge of fit, fabric, insulation and functional components.
• Ability to merge technical functionality with feminine design and commercial appeal.
• Cost engineering experience with manufacturing partners to hit target costs.
• Proficient in AI-powered design tools for concepts, trend analysis and visualization.
• Portfolio demonstrating substantial Women’s Outerwear experience with technical construction.

Responsibilities

• Own the creative direction and development of Women’s technical and performance outerwear categories.
• Produce technical drawings, tech packs and garment construction details.
• Select materials, insulation systems and trims based on product needs.
• Develop silhouettes balancing fit and technical performance with aesthetics.
• Monitor the marketplace via trend, consumer and competitive research.
• Collaborate with Production and overseas manufacturing partners on costing and optimization.
• Incorporate AI-powered technology into design and development processes.
• Research new AI design technologies and tools for product improvement.
• Maintain ongoing communication with Merchandising, Production and overseas factories.
