Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC seeks a Senior Women’s Outerwear Designer with 7+ years in performance, outdoor and technical apparel. You will lead the design of technical outerwear, translate concepts to construction-ready details, and work with overseas partners on cost optimization while incorporating AI tools.

Strong jacket engineering expertise, trend awareness, and a compelling portfolio are required to deliver feminine yet commercially viable outerwear. Portfolio review is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Women’s Outerwear design experience
• Strong understanding of jacket engineering and construction
• AI proficiency and hands-on experience with AI-powered tools
• Portfolio demonstrating technical construction, fit, fabrication and completed products

Responsibilities

• Own the creative direction and development of Women’s technical and performance outerwear categories
• Produce technical drawings, detailed tech packs and garment construction details
• Select outerwear materials, insulation systems and functional trims
• Develop silhouettes balancing women’s fit with technical performance
• Monitor marketplace through trend, consumer and competitive research
• Collaborate with Production and overseas manufacturing partners on costing
• Find cost efficiencies while maintaining quality and design intent
• Integrate AI into design and development processes
• Research new AI design technologies to improve the process
• Maintain communication with Merchandising, Production and overseas factories
