Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Women’s Outerwear design experience.
• Strong understanding of jacket engineering and construction.
• Knowledge of women’s fit, proportion, silhouette, fabrication, insulation and components.
• Ability to merge technical functionality with feminine design and commercial appeal.
• Strong cost engineering with partner collaboration to hit target costs without sacrificing quality.
• Strong commercial and market awareness from trend, consumer and competitive research.
• Forward-thinking approach to technology, including AI integration in design.
• Hands-on AI proficiency with design tools and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the creative direction and development of Women’s technical and performance outerwear categories.
• Produce technical drawings, detailed tech packs and garment construction details.
• Select and apply appropriate outerwear materials, insulation systems and trims.
• Develop silhouettes balancing women’s fit with technical performance.
• Monitor the marketplace through trend, consumer and competitive research.
• Work with Production teams and overseas manufacturing partners on costing.
• Identify areas for cost optimization across materials, construction, trims and engineering.
• Incorporate AI-powered technology into the design and development process.
• Research and evaluate new AI design technologies to improve processes.
• Maintain ongoing communication with Merchandising, Production and overseas factories.
