Sun Recruiting, Inc. seeks a Water Resources Design Engineer (Water or Wastewater) in New Jersey. Hybrid work with flexible location in Parsippany or Sparta, NJ.

Base compensation $120,000–$150,000 plus discretionary year-end bonus, commensurate with experience. The role anchors the water resources design practice, focusing on producing technically robust designs for treatment plants, pumping stations, and distribution networks, while coordinating with regulators and project managers.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of hands on water and wastewater design experience.
• PE license, or within 6–12 months of obtaining it.
• Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations and federal standards (EPA, CWA, SDWA).
• Proficient in producing reports and specifications.
• Nice to have: funding applications and State Revolving Fund experience.

Responsabilités

• Design and engineer water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, storage, and distribution systems.
• Conduct feasibility and planning studies under EPA and NJDEP guidelines.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and contracts.
• Lead regulatory coordination including NJPDES permits and TWAs.
• Perform site investigations and support construction phases.
• Collaborate cross‑disciplinarily with other internal teams and vendors.
• Mentor junior staff on technical work and design procedures.
