Job summary

Client Growth Resources, Inc is seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer (Water or Wastewater) in Parsippany, NJ or Sparta, NJ. Hybrid work arrangement with flexible scheduling.

The role focuses on designing water and wastewater facilities, with 5–10 years of experience, a PE or near-term licensure, and strong NJDEP regulatory knowledge. Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 plus a discretionary year-end bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
• 5–10 years of hands on water and wastewater design experience.
• PE license or close to obtaining it within 6–12 months.
• Strong working knowledge of NJDEP regulations and permitting, plus EPA, CWA, SDWA.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer water and wastewater facilities, pumping stations, storage and distribution systems per standards (AWWA, ASCE, NSF/ANSI).
• Perform feasibility and planning studies with hydraulic, process and environmental evaluations per EPA and NJDEP guidelines.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specs, cost estimates and contract documents per NJDEP and NPDES criteria.
• Lead regulatory coordination for NJPDES permits and related approvals.
• Conduct site investigations and field inspections to support design and construction phases.
• Collaborate across disciplines (structural, civil, MEP) and with vendors to deliver integrated packages.
• Mentor junior staff on technical work, regulations and design procedures.
