Job summary

LRSolutions is seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer (Water or Wastewater) for Parsippany or Sparta, NJ. Hybrid work with real flexibility is offered.

Base compensation ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 plus discretionary year-end bonus, based on experience. The role focuses on designing water and wastewater facilities, coordinating regulatory permits, and mentoring junior staff within a trusted, long-standing firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
• 5-10 years of hands on water and wastewater design experience.
• PE license or will have it within six to twelve months.
• Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations and EPA/SDWA.
• AutoCAD and technical writing to produce standalone reports.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer water and wastewater facilities, pumping stations, storage facilities, and distribution/collection systems.
• Perform feasibility and planning studies under EPA and NJDEP guidelines.
• Prepare technical documentation, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Lead regulatory coordination for NJPDES permits and related approvals.
• Conduct site investigations and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior engineering staff on design procedures.
