Accounting Search is seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer (Water or Wastewater) in New Jersey with 5–10 years of hands-on experience. The role targets producing high-quality design solutions for water and wastewater facilities, while coordinating with project managers and regulatory bodies.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement in Parsippany or Sparta, with a base salary of $120,000 to $150,000 plus a discretionary year-end bonus. PE license preferred, with relocation not offered.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
• 5–10 years of hands-on water and wastewater design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or near-term eligibility (within ~6–12 months).
• Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations and related federal standards (EPA, CWA, SDWA).
• Solid technical writing to produce reports and specifications.

Aufgaben

• Design and engineer water and wastewater facilities, pumping stations, storage and distribution systems.
• Conduct feasibility and planning studies with hydraulic, process and environmental evaluations.
• Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, cost estimates and contract documents.
• Lead regulatory coordination including NJPDES permits and approvals.
• Perform site investigations and coordinate cross-disciplinary design with other groups.
• Mentor junior staff in technical work and regulatory knowledge.
