Job summary

Job Juncture represents a private northern New Jersey engineering firm seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer (Water or Wastewater) in Parsippany or Sparta. The role offers hybrid flexibility and a strong technical track with a base salary of $120,000–$150,000 plus a discretionary year-end bonus.

The successful candidate will anchor the hydrology and process design team, delivering facilities and distribution networks in compliance with EPA, NJDEP, CWA and SDWA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
• 5–10 years hands-on water and wastewater design experience.
• PE license or near-term licensure within ~6–12 months.
• Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations and EPA/SDWA standards.
• Proficiency in technical reporting and design specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer water and wastewater facilities and systems.
• Perform feasibility, hydraulic, and environmental evaluations.
• Prepare technical documents, reports and cost estimates.
• Coordinate regulatory permitting with NJDEP and related authorities.
• Lead site investigations and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Mentor junior staff on technical work and regulatory knowledge.
