Job summary

Sysco Louisville, Inc. seeks an Operations professional to direct inbound and outbound warehouse activities, including receiving, replenishment, order selection and loading.

You will manage staff, control labor and expenses, and ensure safety, security and regulatory compliance across the warehouse departments. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 7 years of related experience, and a certified powered industrial equipment operator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 7 years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read, comprehend, write and speak English.
• Must obtain a Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within 3 months.
• Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software; able to learn Sysco software.

Responsibilities

• Direct inbound and outbound warehouse operations and supervise managers, supervisors and associates.
• Manage labor hours and supplies within budget; adjust shifts as needed.
• Oversee asset purchasing and utilization to support warehouse operations.
• Coordinate with other departments for upgrades and repairs.
• Develop relationships with third-party vendors, including lumping services.
• Maintain insurance certificates and hold harmless agreements for vendors.
• Review shipping and loading audits and ensure safety and regulatory documentation.
• Prepare budgets, profit plans and capital requests; monitor performance metrics.
• Suggest efficiency ideas and cost-reduction measures; implement changes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA and other regulations.
