Job summary

Sysco Hawaii in Honolulu is seeking an experienced Operations leader to direct inbound and outbound warehouse activities, including receiving, replenishment, order selection and loading, while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.

The role requires Bachelor's degree with 7 years in warehousing, strong leadership, budgeting, and ability to collaborate with vendors and internal teams; the candidate will oversee staff and ensure efficient, cost-conscious operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 7 years of related experience and/or training.
• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification required within 3 months.
• Ability to read, comprehend, write and speak English.
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily work and safety of Inbound and Outbound Warehouse managers, supervisors and associates.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget and schedules.
• Supervises selection, purchase, and utilization of company assets in warehouse ops.
• Coordinates with other departments to ensure upgrades and repairs.
• Develops business relationships with third-party vendors, including lumping services.
• Maintains insurance and hold harmless agreements for contracted vendors.
• Reviews shipping/load audits and regulatory documentation (HACCP, food safety, catch-weight).
• Prepares budget, profit plans, and capital requests as required.
• Evaluates metrics and adjusts activities to meet performance goals.
• Identifies problems and proposes cross-department solutions.
