Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Tampa seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead large-scale application development within Funds Administration and Accounting Technology. You will guide multiple teams, design high-performance Java applications, and drive AI-enabled development across global platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, cross-functional leadership, and adherence to architectural standards. You will mentor engineers, review code, adopt agentic AI frameworks, and collaborate with DevOps

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive software development with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
Data architecture across Oracle, MongoDB, Hadoop; Spark and Kafka experience.
Enterprise microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems at scale.
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) with serverless and caching concepts.
Containerisation with Docker/Kubernetes; CI/CD with Jenkins and SonarQube.
Agile leadership, architecture ownership, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams, set technical direction and review performance.
Design and deliver high-performance Java applications within Funds Accounting domain.
Define architecture standards and enforce scalable, intelligent design patterns.
Host design and code reviews; promote AI-assisted development practices.
Analyze complex business processes and translate requirements into specs.
Lead adoption of Agentic AI and ML frameworks with measurable business value.
Collaborate with global engineers, analysts, DevOps to ship large-scale solutions.
