Job summary

Citi in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Software Engineer – Assistant Vice President to design and build enterprise applications across front-end and back-end, leveraging Spring Boot, React and Oracle in an agile team.

You will write production code, shape software architecture, containerize with Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes, and apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while aligning with Citi's technical standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software development in Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and object‑oriented design using Java.
• Design microservices and event‑driven systems with Spring Boot.
• UI development with React, HTML5, and CSS.
• Write and optimize SQL/PL/SQL for Oracle databases.
• Use CI/CD tools like Maven/Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins to build and deploy.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full stack Java applications with Spring Boot, React, and Oracle.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and collaborate in an agile team to meet sprint goals.
• Design RESTful and GraphQL APIs connecting microservices and cloud‑native apps.
• Containerize with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes for reliable deployments.
• Leverage AI tools to speed development and improve code quality.
• Identify root causes of performance issues and implement lasting fixes.
