Job summary

ABB is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to customers, sales, and product teams. The role involves helping with commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations for Low Voltage VFDs, plus drive programming and system integration.

The position supports a hybrid work model in the United States with potential remote work opportunities and requires strong English communication, electrical knowledge, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work (REQUIRED).
• Bachelor's/Associate/HS with relevant electrical/technical experience as listed.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone & email for VFD-related issues, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations.
• Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, communication, and integration with control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues.
• Coordinate with the warranty team to initiate warranty replacements and labor authorizations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of support cases and best practices using Salesforce Case Management.
