Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Director of Business Development for Veterinary sales to own large, multi-location deals from the first meeting to contract signature. This is a fully remote, individual-contributor role with a strong emphasis on closing large veterinary groups across multiple locations.

The role focuses on high-value, multi-stakeholder negotiations with owners and regional leaders, carrying a $2M annual quota and expanding relationships across locations and services after win.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of closing multi-location or enterprise accounts at or above $1M annually.
• Experience selling into veterinary groups or multi-location buyers.
• Ability to manage long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision makers.
• Preference for closing business over people management.

Responsibilities

• Own the full cycle on large deals from discovery to close (3–12 months).
• Engage with owners, regional operators, and marketing leaders during negotiations.
• Drive expansion to additional locations and services after signing a group.
• Collaborate with strategists and leadership for high-stakes proposals.
