Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Head of Business Development for Veterinary to own multi-location deals from first meeting to signed contract. This is an individual contributor role with a $2M annual quota. Work remotely across the United States and Canada, with no direct reports.

You will lead full-cycle negotiations with owners, regional operators, and marketing leaders, expanding locations and services as deals close. This role emphasizes strategic, high-value engagements over volume selling.

Qualifications

• Proven record of closing $1M+ annual multi-location deals.
• Experience selling to veterinary groups or multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision makers.
• Preference for independent contributor over people management.

Responsibilities

• Own full sales cycle from discovery to close (3–12 months).
• Negotiate with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders.
• Expand accounts by adding locations and services after signing.
• Collaborate with strategists on proposals for key deals.
