Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Head of Business Development for Veterinary to own the largest multi-location deals, from first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, targeting strategic, multi-location veterinary accounts that open the next opportunity.

You will handle the full cycle on large deals, coordinate with owners and marketing leaders, and expand locations and services once a group signs.

Qualifications

• Must have a track record of closing $1M+ annually on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Experience selling into veterinary groups or marketing/agency services to multi-location buyers.
• Comfort with long, consultative sales cycles involving multiple decision makers.
• Prefer closed deals over team management or people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close, typically 3–12 months.
• Engage with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders at the table.
• Drive expansion to more locations and services after a group signs.
• Collaborate with strategists and leadership to tailor proposals for the most significant deals.
