Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Director of Business Development for Veterinary to own the largest multi-location deals, from initial meeting to signed contract. You will close high-stakes opportunities with veterinary groups across locations, guided by inbound leads and a strategic sales council.

The role focuses on enterprise accounts, multi-site expansion, and long consultative cycles, with no direct reports and a strong emphasis on closing over building teams.

Qualifications

• Proven record of closing $1M+ annually on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Experience selling to veterinary groups or multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision makers.
• Prefer closing over people management.

Responsibilities

• Own the full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close, over 3 to 12 months.
• Negotiate with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders all at the table.
• Expansion: more locations and more services once a group signs.
• Proposals built with our strategists and leadership for the deals that matter most.
