Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Unified Communications Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise voice, video, and collaboration services across on-premise and cloud environments for federal missions.

You will monitor UC networks, perform advanced troubleshooting, develop standards and runbooks, and collaborate with security and service desk teams while ensuring compliance with federal requirements and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS/telecom/engineering.
• 8+ years in telecommunications engineering, UC, or voice network engineering in large or federal environments.
• Hands-on design, configuration, and support of enterprise UC/telephony platforms (Cisco, Teams Phone, Avaya).
• Experience in secure federal environments and change management; ability to obtain SECRET clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to document technical information for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise UC solutions across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Monitor UC networks, analyze KPIs, identify bottlenecks and service degradation.
• Troubleshoot, conduct root-cause analysis, and remediate complex UC incidents and problems.
• Develop standards, runbooks, and configuration baselines for UC platforms and telecom infrastructure.
• Collaborate with network, security, infrastructure, and service desk teams to plan changes and migrations with minimal user impact.
• Produce reports, capacity analyses, and recommendations for improvements to UC and telecom environments.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams on UC capabilities and best practices.
• Support compliance with federal security/privacy records requirements by implementing controls in UC solutions.
