Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Principal Unified Communications Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our unified communications environment in support of critical IT services. The role emphasizes scalable, secure solutions across VoIP, video, and collaboration platforms.

The engineer will implement, monitor, and troubleshoot UC systems, integrate with AD and cloud services, and provide user training.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or ability to acquire
• 12+ years of telecom/UC experience with Cisco UC
• Experience with Cisco UC Manager, IM&P, Expressway, Video systems, SBC, Meeting Server
• Knowledge of SIP signaling and Cisco Call Flow
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and FIPS
• CCNA and one Level II/III baseline 8140 IAT certs

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable UC solutions
• Install and configure VoIP, video, IM, and collaboration tools
• Monitor and maintain UC infrastructure for performance and security
• Integrate UC with network, AD, and cloud services
• Provide end-user support and training
• Create and update UC documentation
• Manage vendor relationships for hardware and services
• Create disaster recovery plans
