Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Unified Communications Engineer to design, implement, and sustain enterprise voice, video, and collaboration services across on‑premise and cloud environments for federal operations.

You will monitor UC performance, optimize availability, enforce security controls, and collaborate with network, security, and service desk teams. You’ll create runbooks and document standards to support mission-critical communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in telecommunications engineering or unified communications in enterprise or federal environments.
• Hands‑on experience with UC/telephony platforms (Cisco, Teams Phone, Avaya): dial plans, call routing, voicemail, conferencing.
• Experience monitoring UC performance metrics and using monitoring tools to diagnose issues.
• Ability to operate in secure federal environments and obtain/maintain SECRET clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to document technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain UC/telecommunications across on‑premise and cloud.
• Monitor UC networks, analyze KPIs, and identify bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot complex UC incidents and escalations.
• Develop standards, runbooks, and configuration baselines for UC infrastructure.
• Collaborate with networks, security, and service desk teams on changes and migrations.
• Produce reports and recommendations for capacity and performance improvements.
• Provide training and guidance to customers and internal teams on UC capabilities.
• Support compliance with federal security and privacy requirements.
