Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive Officer (Technology) to partner with agents and brokers, assess complex risks, and sell Travelers solutions across a broad technology-focused portfolio. The role emphasizes independent risk assessment, relationship building, and achieving profitable growth.

Ideal candidates bring underwriting experience in commercial lines, CPCU, and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with six to eight years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products, regulatory environment, and local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking with ability to identify underwriting, marketing or financial challenges and decide quickly.
• Excellent communication for negotiating with agents and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers in person to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with the Managing Director to build region/group plans.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
