Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer (AEO) in Technology to partner with agents and brokers in providing coverage for new and renewal business. You will independently assess complex risk and sell Travelers products in challenging markets, driving profitability and growth for the assigned book of business.

The role requires strong negotiation and communication skills, a deep knowledge of commercial lines, and the ability to build relationships across the organization to meet sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• Four years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.
• CPCU designation preferred or beneficial.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products and grow book of business. Travel required.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans in collaboration with MD and regional leadership.
• Assist in training and mentoring of less experienced Account Executives.
