Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer, Technology to partner with agents and brokers, providing coverage for new and renewal business. You will assess complex risk, sell products, and contribute to profitability.

This role requires deep underwriting knowledge and strong relationship skills with internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will have a CPCU designation and relevant experience in commercial lines, with the ability to travel for meetings and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• CPCU designation is preferred.
• Four years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Liaise with external agents and brokers regularly to market and sell Travelers products and meet growth targets; travel to meetings as needed.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD guidance to create regional sales strategy.
• May assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
