Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer in the Technology Life Sciences sector. You will partner with agents/brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business, acting as a technical resource capable of assessing complex risk and driving profitability.

Role requires travel for in-person meetings and collaboration across the enterprise to write and retain accounts within our risk appetite. Posting remains open until 11/30/26.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in life sciences.
• CPCU designation preferred or required.
• Four years of underwriting, claims, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers in person to market and sell Travelers’ products and meet writing targets.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD guidance.
