Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive Officer, Technology, to partner with agents and brokers for new and renewal business. You will assess complex risk, build relationships, and drive profitability while traveling to meet external partners and support sales plans.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines, CPCU designation, and strong negotiation and communication skills to succeed in challenging markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products, regulatory environment, and local market.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products; travel as needed.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans in collaboration with the Managing Director.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
