Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Hartford, CT is seeking an Account Executive Officer for National Property. You will partner with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business, assess complex risk, and contribute to profitability.

As a technical resource, you will negotiate, build relationships with internal partners and external clients, develop agency sales plans, and travel to market Travelers products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• CPCU designation preferred or required for advanced underwriting.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with National Property.
• Deep knowledge of property-related products and market.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of an assigned book.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Negotiate and procure reinsurance for complex accounts as needed.
• Support global underwriting capabilities and foreign admitted policies when required.
• Develop regional sales plans and partner with MD to execute agency plans.
• Build relationships with internal partners and external brokers to identify opportunities.
• Travel for meetings with agents/brokers to market Travelers products.
