Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, part of the Tokio Marine Group, seeks a Senior Underwriter to underwrite and market Management and Professional Lines, including D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, and Cyber. You will mentor junior underwriters, develop agency partnerships, and drive growth across targeted accounts with a consultative sales approach.

Ideal candidates possess advanced technical underwriting expertise, strong analytical skills, and experience managing a profitable book of business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related industry or underwriting experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Demonstrated experience managing agency relationships, negotiating with producers and accounts, and managing a profitable book of business.
• Professional designations such as RPLU, CPCU, ARM, or AU are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and market assigned products across Directors & Officers, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Crime, Cyber, and other Management Liability lines.
• Analyze financial statements, loss experience, and risk characteristics to guide pricing decisions within authority.
• Develop and present proposals to producers and accounts, negotiating terms and endorsements for complex renewals and new business.
• Mentor and train less experienced underwriters, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Build and strengthen agency relationships and drive profitable growth through targeted marketing and stewardship activities.
