Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies is seeking a highly motivated Senior Underwriter to support growth and profitability of the Management and Professional Lines portfolio.

Under limited direction, this experienced individual contributor will underwrite and market assigned products, manage a profitable book of business, and develop strong agency relationships while delivering underwriting excellence across Management Liability products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred.
• Advanced technical knowledge of Financial Lines and Management Liability products.
• Strong analytical, financial analysis, and risk assessment skills.
• Sales, marketing, negotiation, business development, and relationship management capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and underwriting-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a profitable book of business across Directors & Officers, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, Cyber, and other Management Liability products.
• Independently gather and analyze information and apply advanced underwriting techniques to evaluate risk acceptability.
• Prepare underwriting submissions and present proposals to producers and accounts, negotiating terms.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities across PHLY product offerings.
• Mentor and train less experienced underwriters and maintain agency relationships.
