Philadelphia Insurance Companies is seeking a Senior Underwriter to support growth and profitability of the Management and Professional Lines portfolio. You will underwrite and market assigned products, manage a profitable book, and develop strong agency relationships while delivering underwriting excellence.

The role requires advanced underwriting expertise, consultative selling, and collaboration with brokers, agents and internal partners to achieve business objectives.

• Advanced technical knowledge of Financial Lines and Management Liability products.
• Strong analytical, financial analysis, and risk assessment skills.
• Sales, marketing, negotiation, business development, and relationship management capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to engage effectively with internal and external business partners at all organizational levels.
• Ability to develop and execute territory marketing strategies.
• Sound independent decision-making skills, advanced underwriting judgment, and the ability to handle complex issues with manager assistance as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a profitable book of business across D&O, EPL, Fiduciary Liability, Crime, Cyber and other Management Liability products.
• Mentor and train less experienced underwriters, sharing technical knowledge.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and endorsements for complex new and renewal business.
• Develop agency relations and drive profitable growth through targeted marketing.
• Collaborate with teams to support business objectives and service standards.
