Job summary

City of New York, representing NYCHA, seeks a Senior IT Architect to serve as the UKG timekeeping SME, owning configuration, integrations, upgrades, and incident resolution. The role collaborates with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable UKG solutions and to manage vendor relationships.

Responsibilities include designing pay and work rules, ensuring policy alignment with union contracts, and leading change across deployments while maintaining security and change

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field with six years of relevant experience.
• A baccalaureate degree with ten years of relevant experience in enterprise/network/solutions architecture and IT infrastructure.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience satisfying 1 or 2.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional and technical SME for UKG Workforce Central and UKG Pro Workforce Management, including Timekeeping, Accruals, Attendance, Scheduling, Leave, Attestation, and Device Manager/clocks.
• Gather requirements from HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders and translate them into pay rules, work rules, accrual policies, schedules, and workflows.
• Configure, enhance, and support UKG platform and own the solution design for changes and deployments.
• Lead upgrades and migrations, including data migration validation, integration redesign, test planning, and cutover.
• Design, build, and support integrations between UKG and HR/payroll/downstream systems using UKG tooling and APIs.
• Plan and execute system and user acceptance testing with HR/Payroll and validate pay outcomes before production.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and defect remediation for UKG incidents with priority based on impact and SLAs.
• Act as escalation point for vendors and UKG Support and approve vendor changes before production.
• Build and maintain reports, Dataviews, and analytics for HR, Payroll, and timekeepers.
• Provide training and end-user documentation for timekeepers, supervisors, and HR/Payroll users.

Education

Baccalaureate degree in computer science / information systems / engineering / mathematics or related field

Ten years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems

Education and/or experience which is equivalent to the above
