Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a senior Unified Communications Engineer to design, implement, and sustain enterprise voice, video, and collaboration services for federal operations.

You will monitor UC environments, optimize performance, and ensure security while meeting contract SLAs and customer requirements. Strong collaboration across IT, security, and service teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or an equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive telecommunications engineering/unified communications experience in large enterprise or federal environments.
• Hands-on experience designing, configuring, and supporting enterprise UC/telephony platforms (Cisco, Microsoft Teams Phone, Avaya).
• Demonstrated experience monitoring telecommunications/UC performance metrics and using monitoring tools to diagnose issues.
• Experience in secure federal or regulated environments and ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical documentation and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain UC solutions across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Monitor UC networks, analyze KPIs, and identify bottlenecks and degradations.
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis for complex UC incidents.
• Develop standards, runbooks, and configuration baselines for UC platforms and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with network, security, and service teams to plan changes with minimal user impact.
• Produce reports and recommendations for capacity and performance improvements.
• Provide training and guidance on UC capabilities to customers and teams.
• Support compliance with federal security and records requirements.
