Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks an experienced professional to act as Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway and civil construction projects in California. You will ensure work is built to contract documents and manage QA/QC, staff, and contract administration. Requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering, a California P.E.

license, and 7+ years of construction contract management on roadway/bridge projects. Travel to BKF locations and client sites may be required; base salary ranges from $180,000 to

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• California registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 7+ years construction contract management experience on roadways/bridges.
• Working knowledge of CALTRANS/local agency projects and document coordination on Fed projects desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway, and civil construction projects.
• Ensure projects built per contract documents.
• Manage project QA/QC and staff; oversee contract administration.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, materials testing, and surveying.
• Prepare progress and final documentation for State/Federal requirements.
• Maintain scopes, budgets, and schedules; ensure project profitability.
