Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks a seasoned Construction Manager to serve as the Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway and civil projects in California. You will ensure compliance with contract documents and coordinate with inspectors, project team and clients.

The role requires a California PE license, a BS in Civil Engineering and 7+ years of contract management experience on road/bridge builds. Travel to BKF locations and client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• California registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 7+ years construction contract management experience related to roadway and/or bridge construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway, and civil construction projects.
• Ensure projects are built in accordance with contract documents.
• Manage professional and technical staff, as well as contract administration.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, materials testing, and surveying activities.
• Prepare progress and final documentation in compliance with State and Federal Highway Administration requirements.
