BKF is seeking a seasoned Civil/Construction Manager to serve as the Owner’s representative on major bridge, roadway, and civil construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring contract compliance and delivering project goals across multiple sites in California.

Ideal candidates have a California PE, 8+ years of roadway/bridge contract management experience, and a strong ability to lead teams; CALTRANS knowledge is a plus. Travel to BKF locations and client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• California registered Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• 8+ years of construction contract management experience on roadway/bridge projects.
• Working knowledge of CALTRANS and local agency projects; federals familiarity a plus.
• Ability to effectively manage people and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner's representative on bridge, roadway, and civil construction projects.
• Ensure projects built in accordance with contract documents.
• Lead Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities.
• Manage professional and technical staff and contract administration.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, and materials testing.
• Conduct weekly project meetings and oversee utility coordination.
• Prepare project documentation for state/federal requirements.
• Maintain project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
