BKF Engineers is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Owner's representative on bridge, roadway, and civil construction projects in California. The role drives strict adherence to contract documents, quality control, and coordination with field teams and clients.

Ideal candidates hold a California P.E., have 8+ years of roadway/bridge contract management experience, and can lead disparate teams across office and field locations.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• California Professional Engineer license required.
• 8+ years of construction contract management on roadway/bridge projects.
• Working knowledge of CALTRANS/local agency projects desired.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Owner on bridge, roadway and civil construction projects; ensure conformance with contract documents.
• Lead project teams and manage staff; supervise inspectors and contract administration.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, materials testing, and surveying activities.
• Prepare progress and final documentation per State and Federal Highway Administration requirements.
• Maintain budgets, scopes and schedules; ensure project profitability.
