Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks a Senior Civil Construction Manager to act as Owner's representative on bridge, roadway and civil projects in California. You will lead project teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure QA/QC policy adherence across complex assignments.

The role requires a California PE license, a BS in Civil Engineering, and 7+ years of relevant experience, with travel to BKF locations and client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• California registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 7+ years of construction contract management experience on roadway/bridge projects.
• Working knowledge of CALTRANS/local agency projects; experience with federally funded projects preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage people.

Responsibilities

• Act as Owner's professional representative on bridge, roadway, and civil construction projects.
• Ensure projects are built per contract documents and QA/QC standards.
• Lead project team and coordinate with inspectors, contractors, and agencies.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, materials testing, and surveying activities.
• Prepare progress and final documentation in compliance with FHWA/state requirements.
• Manage scopes, budgets, and schedules; ensure project profitability.
