Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs within the Transportation group. You’ll advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial and community aspects, directing plan development, risk management and execution across many disciplines.

Responsibilities include securing resources, ensuring contract compliance, and driving QA/QC while mentoring staff and expanding HDR’s program management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Ten years of program management experience, with at least four years as a Senior Program Manager.
• Experience delivering three or more programs each with a capital value of $500 million or more.
• Licenses/certifications: PE/P.Eng, PMP, PgMP, AICP, or CCM.
• Experience with alternative delivery methods (DB, PDB, CMAR) and PMO collaboration.
• Willingness to travel regularly to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects for program success.
• Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of program execution across multiple disciplines.
• Identify issues/risks and provide strategic problem-solving and risk mitigation.
• Develop and implement program management plans, startup plans, and work plans.
• Direct services provided by large program teams and promote team alignment.
• Ensure resource availability and contract compliance; monitor QA/QC and financial metrics.
• Contribute to growth of HDR’s program management services and mentor staff.
