Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity. You will advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial and community aspects, guiding governance, risk, cost control and scheduling across diverse teams.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, a Master’s preferred, and 10+ years of program management with at least four years as a Senior PM on large programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field required.
• At least one of the following licenses/certifications: PE/P.Eng, PMP, PgMP, AICP, or CCM.
• 10+ years of program management experience, with 4+ years as Senior PM on large programs (>$500M).
• Strong leadership and ability to build cohesive teams across locations.
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects of programs.
• Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of program execution across disciplines.
• Identify risks; provide strategic guidance and problem solving.
• Develop and implement program management plans, governance, and processes.
• Direct services by large project teams or mega-projects; drive alignment.
• Promote regular, transparent communication within the team.
• Secure resources and ensure contract compliance.
• Monitor project financials; adjust to meet earnings targets.
• Support growth of HDR’s program management services and client relationships.
