Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high complexity, reporting to HDR's Transportation Leadership team. You will advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial and community aspects, plan and monitor program execution, and ensure delivery of large, multi-disciplinary projects with strong governance and risk management.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and professional certifications; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or closely related field
• Relevant professional licenses/certifications (PE/P.Eng, PMP, PgMP, AICP, CCM) preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial and community aspects of programs.
• Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of program execution across multiple disciplines.
• Identify issues and risks and support problem solving and decision making.
• Develop program management plans, startup/work plans and processes to drive efficiencies.
• Direct large program teams or mega-projects and ensure contract compliance.
• Ensure regular communications to align teams and stakeholders.
• Oversee resource procurement and QA/QC to meet client expectations.
• Monitor program financials and profitability; adjust as needed.
• Support growth of HDR’s program management services and mentoring of staff.
