Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead the most complex transportation infrastructure programs. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, advise clients on technical, regulatory and financial aspects, and drive program governance and delivery excellence across multiple locations.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in program management, 4+ years as a Senior PM, and certifications such as PE/P.Eng, PMP/PgMP, AICP or CCM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Admin or closely related field.
• Professional licensure/certifications: PE/P.Eng, PMP, PgMP, AICP or CCM.
• 10+ years program management experience; at least 4 years as a Senior Program Manager.
• Led three or more programs with capital value >= $500 million each.
• Strong leadership and cross-location team management abilities.
• Excellent communication, with comfort presenting to executives.
• Experience with alternative delivery methods (DB/DBFOM/CMAR).
• Familiar with PMIS, CMIS, scheduling, cost control, document management, risk mgmt, analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial and community aspects.
• Plan, direct and monitor program execution across multiple disciplines.
• Identify risks and issues; implement mitigation and timely decisions.
• Develop programs, startup plans and work plans to drive efficiencies.
• Direct services by large program teams or mega-projects.
• Promote team alignment through regular, clear communications.
• Secure resources and monitor contract scope and compliance.
• Monitor financial performance against targets and adjust as needed.
• Mentor staff and pursue opportunities to grow HDR’s PM services.
