Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary transportation programs with high technical complexity. You will advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects, and direct execution across disciplines from planning to delivery.

We value 10+ years in program management, PMP/PgMP or similar, and a track record delivering programs with $500M+ capital values. Travel to multiple locations may be required as part of HDR's transportation leadership team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or a closely related field
At least one of the listed licenses/certifications (PE/P.Eng, PMP, PgMP, AICP, or CCM)
Minimum of ten years of program management experience with at least four years as a Senior Program Manager; experience delivering multiple programs with large capital values

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity
Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects of infrastructure programs
Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of program execution across multiple disciplines
Identify risks and provide strategic guidance to address program challenges
Develop program management plans, startup plans, and work plans to drive efficiencies
Direct large program teams or mega-projects with strong oversight and governance
Promote alignment through regular, effective communications
Ensure contract compliance and secure necessary resources
Monitor financial performance against targets and manage profitability
Mentor staff and support pursuit of new program opportunities
