Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead large, multi-disciplinary infrastructure programs. You will advise clients, direct program execution, and manage cross-functional teams across locations.

The role requires a top-tier PM capability with experience in high-value projects and alternative delivery methods. The position offers opportunities to influence program delivery, mentor staff, and contribute to HDR’s Transportation Leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field is required.
• PMIS/CMIS, scheduling, cost control, document management, risk management, asset management, dashboard analytics are expected tools.
• Minimum ten (10) years of program management experience with at least four (4) years as a Senior Program Manager.
• Ability to lead multiple programs with large capital values and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects of programs.
• Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of program execution across multiple disciplines.
• Identify risks and provide strategic solutions to ensure timely decision-making.
• Develop programs, startup plans, and governance to drive efficiency and transparency.
• Oversee large teams or mega-projects while ensuring contract compliance.
• Monitor financial performance and strengthen earnings and profitability targets.
