Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation efforts across operations. You will interface with employees at all levels and drive changes to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

The role emphasizes data analytics, Lean tools, and process improvement to deliver tangible value and partner with management on CI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
• 5+ years in transportation or supply chain industry.
• Experience in Transportation Management, FTL, LTL.
• Microsoft Office proficiency with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Data visualization skills with Power BI or Tableau; SQL knowledge.
• Lean methods including PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; identifies process gaps and implements improvements.
• Manages CI projects and supports go-live certifications; interacts with operations management.
• Develops competency in lean methods; coaches employees in CI and Lean principles.
• Facilitates Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events from ideation to sustainment.
• Provides regular data reports and recommendations to measure progress against site objectives.
