Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost across operations. The role interfaces with employees at all levels and reports to the Lead Engineer, CI Manager or Sr.

CI Manager, aligning with Operations Management. You will develop and execute improvement plans, drive KPI improvements, and coach teams in Lean principles while leveraging analytics tools to identify

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain industries.
• Experience with Transportation Management (FTL/LTL) and dedicated fleets.
• Proficiency in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio; SQL/ DAX is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collects data, performs statistical analysis, and maps processes.
• Leads CI and engineering projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Coaches teams in Lean methods and CI tools; drives Kaizen events and VSMs.
• Interfaces with operations management and customers to implement improvements.
• Delivers regular data-driven reports and supports Supply Chain strategies.
