Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI methods across operations, delivering higher performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will leverage data analytics and Lean tools to identify root causes and drive change, interfacing with employees at all levels.

The role reports to CI leadership and collaborates with Operations Management to execute transformation plans and sustainment activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Transportation or Supply Chain Industry.
• Transportation Experience: Management of Transportation Networks (FTL/LTL) etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Lean methods knowledge; PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen; 5S exposure.
• Experience with dedicated services and managed transportation networks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps.
• Drives CI initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develops and manages CI plans; supports go-live and steady-state certifications.
• Leads and participates in Kaizen events and value stream mapping.
• Partners with operations management and customers to deliver results.
