Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Engineer to apply continuous improvement (CI) methods across operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.

You will leverage data analytics and Lean tools to identify root causes and deliver value, interfacing with employees at all levels and reporting to senior CI leadership. The role involves leading CI projects, mentoring teams, and coordinating with operations management to implement improvements that enhance performance and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field, with 5+ years in transportation or supply chain.
• Strong data analysis and statistical skills; proficient in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA and Kaizen methodologies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional CI projects and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes; identifies gaps and drives value through CI plans.
• Manages CI and engineering projects; supports go-live and steady-state certifications; identifies automation opportunities.
• Develops competency in engineering methods, lean tools, and quality standards; coaches teams in CI/Lean.
• Facilitates Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events; drives sustainment and operational excellence across the site.
