Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and lean methods across operations. The role interfaces with employees at all levels to deliver improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. It reports to the CI leadership and partners with Operations Management.

The engineer will map processes, analyze data, lead Kaizen events, and drive value through cross-functional projects, including Automation initiatives and go-live support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is required.
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain industry is required.
• Transportation Experience (TMS, LTL/FTL) is required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) is required.
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL are preferred.
• Lean methods and CI/Kaizen experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis to identify gaps and drive CI plans.
• Manages CI and engineering projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develops competency in Lean tools and coaches staff in CI methods.
• Facilitates value stream mapping and Kaizen events; supports go-live and certifications.
• Provides regular data reports and supports Supply Chain strategy.
