Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and lean methods across transportation operations. The role interfaces with operations management to deliver higher performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Required: transportation experience, strong Power BI and Excel skills, and ability to drive value through analytics and process improvement. Occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, SCM, or related field.
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain industry.
• Transportation experience with TMS and routing.
• Excel and Power BI proficiency; data visualization skills.
• Microsoft Office Suite: Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio (advanced).
• Lean methods and continuous improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data, performs statistical analysis, maps processes, and identifies gaps.
• Drives CI initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Lead and support CI and automation projects; coordinate with operations.
• Coach teams on Lean principles and problem-solving methods.
• Provide regular progress reports and recommendations to management.
