Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, lean tools, and automation to deliver improved safety, quality, delivery, and cost across operations.

The role interfaces with all levels of the operation, leverages Power BI and Excel for data analysis, and drives value through Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, and lean coaching across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain industry.
• Transportation experience in Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Visio.
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) intermediate, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes; identifies gaps and implements CI plans.
• Manages CI projects and supports go-live and steady-state certifications; supports automation projects.
• Develops and demonstrates competency in engineering methods, Lean tools, and quality standards; coaches teams in CI/Lean.
