Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply lean and data-driven CI methods across transportation operations. The role focuses on identifying process gaps, leading CI projects, and delivering improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Responsibilities include data analysis, dashboard maintenance (Power BI), and collaboration with operations management to drive transformational change. Requires transportation experience and strong data analytics skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering, business, supply chain or related field.
• 5+ years in transportation or supply chain industry required.
• Transportation experience including management (FTL/LTL), route optimization or related areas required.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI; experience maintaining Power BI dashboards required.
• Experience with transportation modeling tools such as Appian Direct Route preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps.
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Manage CI projects and support go-live and steady-state certifications.
• Coach teams on lean methods and CI concepts; apply methods like Kaizen and value stream mapping.
